
About the choir
The Paragon Singers, formed in 1976, specialises in Renaissance, Baroque and contemporary music, and is considered one of the leading chamber choirs in the south-west uk. Paragon Singers perform several times a year in Bath and its environs as well as making frequent appearances elsewhere. The choir has made frequent tours to Kenya, Ireland, France and Holland, having five times visited Alkmaar as guests of its "twin choir", Good Company.
Keith Bennett
Keith Bennett studied music at Oxford University, where he was organ scholar at Brasenose College. He was awarded a doctorate from Oxford in 1978 for his study of the 16th-century composer Luca Marenzio. He was a principal lecturer at Bath Spa University from 1979-2004 and has performed widely as an accompanist, continuo player and singer.
