Andrew Carter, organ, will be accompanying and playing two solo items. Requiem
We return to our favourite venue for a performance of Victoria’s much-loved Requiem (or, more properly, Officium defunctorum). The programme will also include glorious settings of Versa est in luctum by Victoria and Alonso Lobo, Morales’ Asperges me and Circumdederunt me, and Pater noster and Hei mihi Domine by Francisco Guerrero. There will be no interval. Refreshments will be available free of charge in the new church hall after the concert. Tickets (£10, students and under-18s £5) will be available from September from Bath Festivals Box Office, or at the door.
